                                        ~Previously~

You rubbed your jawline. "I don't know if it would help, but I have had a candle for many years that lets off a blue light. Perhaps if we viewed it under that." The governor nodded, willing to try anything. So you removed the candle from your satchel and lit it. Sure enough, the faded words showed up clearer in the blue light.

"Amazing! The words are visible!" Governor Moore exclaimed.

"Well, what does it say?" Feli asked.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Governor Moore cleared his throat and began reading,
"Pirates, I should have known! Captain Kirkland might destroy our port and steal our suplies, but he will never rob us of our treasure. Only I know the whereabouts of the treaure. And it is my responsibility to keep it safe. I have drawn up a map and devided it into five parts. The Five parts rest within the care of trusted firends on neighboring islands. Whenever you encounter them just say, "The secret rests in the southwest." And they will know that I sent you. However, only when Captain Kirkland is defeated will it be safe to bring the treasure back to the town. My days on this Earth are numbered and I hope that whoever finds this document will do what is best for my beloved town.
                                      Yours truely,
                                                    Governer Ripley"
The room was silent until you got the courage to speak. "Sir, I accept this challenge! I want to help Fort Ridley."
Ludwig's eyes widened. "Nein nein nein, Gilbert sent you to zhis island to be safe from Captain Kirkland, not to charge into battle viz him!"
"Well, your not my mother nor my husband so, I decide. And I choose to help!"
"Very vell." Ludwig pouted.
"If you can find a ship then I would be honored for you to help our quaint little island." Governor Moore said.
So once you left the Governer's house, Feli wanted to show you one more place before you started planning on how to get a ship.
"Come on (name)!" He dragged you up a flight of stairs to the top of a lookout tower. The veiw was incredible! The ocean as far as the eye could see, the small village below, and the outline of islands in the distance. There stood an older gentleman on top of the lookout tower as well. He had a telescope.
"Would you like to look through it?" He asked. You nodded and looked through the telescope. Suddenly you spotted a small raft.
"Oh, there's a raft out there! They might be in trouble. Do you have any way to signal them?" You asked the man. He shook his head. Then you remembered the mirror in your satchel. You quickly removed it and caught one of the sun's rays and directed it toward the ship. They signaled you back and made their way toward the dock. You, Ludwig, and Feli made your way to the dock to meet them.
The man that came off the raft looked dazed. "Thank you so much for saving me! I was shipwrecked and stranded. In return you can have my raft if you wish." You looked at Ludwig and he sighed.
"Okay fine, you can help the fort. But I'm going with you." He rubbed his temples.
"Ve~ Me too!" Feli chimed in.
"Okay men. We have a town to save." You smirked.
